The Rockies got on the board with a solo home run in the top of the 6th to cut Seattle’s lead to 5-1. Segura began another Mariners rally in the 5th as he led off with a double to center field, advanced to 3rd base on a single from Haniger and scored on a wild pitch, as Seattle stretched its lead to 5-0. Seattle tacked on two more runs in the 3rd as Segura, Haniger and Canó each hit one-out singles to plate the first run of the inning, and Seager added a two-out base hit to extend the Mariners lead to 4-0. Cruz then brought home Mitch Haniger with a single back up the middle. Segura led off with a triple into the right-field corner and later scored on a RBI-groundout from Canó. The Mariners jumped out to a 2-0 lead over the Rockies in the bottom of the 1st inning. He scattered 3 hits while striking out 4 and walking 1.
